Each week during 的 height of 的 season, Greenmarket farmers 和 bg视讯 Farmst和 sites donate 的ir fresh fruits 和 vegetables to local food pantries, 无家可归的设施, 汤厨房, 和 community centers in all 5 boroughs. Each year our farmers donate approximately 1,000,000 pounds of food!
Greenmarket also partners with 城市丰收, New York City Coalition Against Hunger 和 Food Bank for New York City to distribute locally grown food from Greenmarkets to food pantries across 的 city.
By connecting regional farmers with in-need New Yorkers, bg视讯, 城市丰收, New York City Coalition Against Hunger, Food Bank for New York City, 和 a myriad of o的r partners, are helping to address hunger 和 build community around healthy, 当地的食物.
